I loved getting lost in Paris. In the city where you can walk pretty much anywhere, getting lost seems to be the norm of tourism. Everyday in Paris, my boyfriend and I tried different routes to our destination in order to maximize our experience in the city. We wanted to see what the locals saw on a day to day basis and adapt more to the European culture while simultaneously distancing ourselves from typical tourists in Paris who only eat bagels in the morning, lol.
The day started at the Arc de Triomphe. As soon as we emerged from the depths of the subway, voila, the masterpiece was right in front of our eyes. It was difficult to get a picture right by the Arc due to the plethora of visitors/tourists in the area. You can check my Instagram profile for a full view of the Arc. Right down the street was the Champs-Élysées where you can find all the pretty little shops to get your shopping on. Further down was a street called Avenue Montaigne where we spent a lot of our time visiting high-end retailers to obtain the full experience of " if we had money, we would shop here" kind of idea. Not too far down, we found Tuileries. We admired the beauty of the garden while eating crepes and resting to gear up for a few more miles of walking. At the end of the Tuileries, you will find the Pyramid at the Louvre. Catch a glimpse of the Louvre on my Instagram.
You'll find me dressed in an +H&M leopard coat, layered with a +Free People collared shirt and +Rachel Roy distressed knit, paired with gray NSF skinny jeans. Low blocked heels are definitely necessary when walking down the cobblestone "Rues" of Paris. They will help you conquer and avoid twisting an ankle.
Take a peak inside the Louvre with me, next on Paris....
