The evolution of shoes. This is probably my favourite area. The shoes were displayed within the decades that they were made. |
The gorgeous Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor... and of course their shoes. |
I totally adore this display and the shoes are lovely; they remind me of Chie Mihara pieces. |
The very first pair of Manolo Blahnik. |
Classic Gucci loafers that I think all men should have. |
I was fortunate to see this exhibition. It was perfection! |
Roger Vivier's success in a nutshell. |
A few classics a la Roger Vivier. |
As I made my way home, heading west on Bloor Street today, I was reminded of last summer when I visited the Bata Shoe Museum. It was quite educational, learning about the history of shoes, their origin, designers and the evolution of shoes over the centuries. Here's a few of the pictures I found in my phone archive. Have you been to the Bata Shoe Museum yet? If not, it's worth a trip if you're in the Bloor Street area.

wouldn't trade my experience for anything else. loved every historical and interesting facts in this museum
I totally agree with you Jazmyn. I wish I had taken more pics! =( I think on Thursdays they still have "donate any $$$ amount" for your entrance fee. I'm not 100% sure about that, but it may still be on if you're thinking of creating new memories.
An excellent review. I have been to the museum and agree with the entire article.
