Not Your Average Chic!

Olivia Palermo

She was just a regular girl to me when I started watching The City.  Since then I have always enjoyed seeing her in all forms of media (print ads, television, or celebrity sightings).  When it comes to fashion, what does this chic not get right? I love her fashion take on mixing prints.  She's edgy, but not borderline crazy.  Like floral and leopard, who would have thought? Even when she takes it to a minimum with black on black.  Simple and sophisticated with peplum leather/wool jacket and classic pumps.  Her casual look with denim on denim is super cute with open toe heels.  I've always loved the way she's played with colours.  Always on point with trends.  I love the yellow flowy dress she's wearing in the picture above with gold strappy sandals; so ethereal.  My favourite style she rocks, every so often, is androgyny.  I admire a woman who plays with shapes.  I think Olivia Palermo and the house of Balenciaga do it best.  Olivia is one of my "it" girls, she never disappoints me with her fashion choices and looks.
