I wanted to incorporate the denim shirt with office wear in this post as per request by one of my regular readers.  Thank you very much +mariarivas rivas for your request, you've inspired me to pull together today's look.

A denim shirt is a quick way to achieve a simple casual look.  However, I wanted to elevate the look from daily casual to business casual so I challenged myself by trying to incorporate a denim shirt into the office environment.  On "Casual Fridays", we could probably get away with the denim on denim look topped with a white blazer, but on a Monday it would be a totally different story.  Most would probably think of pairing this denim shirt tucked with a black pleated skirt or trouser and a cute pair of pumps.  I find that a little played out, borderline "boring!".  I like to have fun with every outfit I pull, but I also like to keep it within "my style"; clothes that I'm comfortable and confident in wearing.  To help me welcome Spring, I opted to pair this light washed denim shirt from Zara with these Tie Dye trousers a la Rachel Roy.  I like how the shirt really brings out the pastel hues of these trousers, and the white linen blazer gives that extra brightness to complete this look.  On my feet are my espresso brown wedge booties from Nine West which are comfortable enough to run around the office in.  I decided on brown, because I often get bored with black.  My mood plays a big role in what shoes I wear with my daily outfit.
